Conveying of parts in the transfer dies is checked by making use of the exchange of signals from contacts, micro-switches, or sensors located on the gripper fingers. Such signals are decoded by an electronic instrument which controls the switching of the contact and warns if there are faults or failures. The DI.GI.EMME electronic control instrument allows checking for presence of parts during the transfer phase, or for intactness of contacts or signals from the grippers fingers, or for correct position of the transfer phases with the press and safety coupling (torque limiter). In the absence of safety conditions or missing parts during the transfer phase, the electronic instrument stops the press. |
